Terms of Service

GritCheck gives a detailer a public link. Customers use that link to submit contact details, vehicle details, and photos or a video. An AI service scores visible condition, and GritCheck produces a suggested price range from the detailer's own pricing settings and multipliers.

Every estimate is a suggestion, not a binding price. The detailer reviews and approves each quote, and the actual work and final price are agreed between the customer and the detailer.

The AI assesses only what is visible in the media submitted. Lighting, angles, resolution, and hidden damage all affect the result. Neither GritCheck nor the detailer guarantees that a suggested range matches the price after an in-person inspection.

Detailers sign up with an email and password or with Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for the activity of any team member you add to a Crew account. You must be 18 or older to create a detailer account or to process payments.

Customers do not need an account to submit a quote request. The public quote form stays open and free to use regardless of the detailer's plan.

New detailer accounts get a free trial of 5 quotes with full feature access. The trial is measured by usage, not by calendar time — it does not expire after a number of days, and it ends when the quote allowance is used.

No credit card is required to start the trial. When it ends, you can upgrade to a paid plan or continue on the limited permanent Free tier.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Plans:

• Free — permanent, limited monthly quote allowance and basic quote output only
• Pro — $25/month or $240/year; quote history, customer database, branded quotes, analytics, and media storage
• Crew — $50/month or $480/year base, including the owner plus four technician seats; additional seats are $9 per seat per month, billed monthly regardless of the base plan's billing cycle

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. If a payment fails, the account is marked past due and access is restricted after a short grace period. Unlimited quote allowances are subject to a fair-use review of unusual volume.

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page; we ask for a reason before confirming. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period — you keep access until then, and we do not provide partial refunds for time already paid for, consistent with standard subscription billing practice. After the period ends, the account moves to the Free tier.

GritCheck does not process, hold, transmit, or handle any payment between a customer and a detailer. Stripe is used only for the detailer's own subscription to GritCheck.

Any deposit or payment for detailing work is arranged directly between the customer and the detailer using the detailer's own separate payment method. In GritCheck, such a payment only ever appears as a status marker that the detailer sets manually. We are not a party to that transaction, take no fee from it, and are not responsible for refunds, chargebacks, or disputes arising from it.

Customers keep ownership of the photos and video they submit and grant the receiving detailer and GritCheck permission to store and process them in order to generate and review a quote. Do not upload media you do not have the right to share. Detailers are responsible for how they use customer contact details and media, including any marketing consent they need.

Do not misuse the service — no attempts to access another business's data, no automated abuse of the public quote form, no uploading unlawful content. We may suspend accounts that do.

GritCheck is provided as is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
