Privacy Policy

Customers requesting a quote do not create an account and do not log in. When a customer fills in a detailer's public quote link, we collect:

• Name, phone number, and email address
• Vehicle details (such as make, model, year, size, and notes about the condition)
• Photos of the vehicle and/or a video walkaround

This information is submitted to the specific detailer whose link was used, and is stored so that detailer can price and follow up on the job.

Photos and video are stored and shown to the detailer exactly as uploaded. We do not edit, crop, or blur them, which means a submitted image may include visible identifying details such as a license plate, house number, or a person in the background.

If you would rather not include a license plate, angle your photos so the plate is not captured directly — the condition assessment does not need it. Only upload media you are comfortable sharing with the detailer.

Customer-submitted photos and video are sent to a third-party AI service for automated analysis. That service looks at the media to score visible vehicle condition — pet hair, scratches, staining, and general dirtiness — and those scores feed the suggested price range shown to the detailer.

The AI produces a suggestion only. A human detailer reviews and decides the final quote. We log the technical usage of each analysis request (such as token counts and the number of media files) so we can measure our own cost per quote; those logs do not contain your photos.

Detailers create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. Account data includes:

• Email address and, for Google sign-in, the basic profile information Google returns
• Business name and business settings
• Pricing settings, service categories, and multipliers
• Subscription tier, usage counts, and billing status
• For Crew accounts: team members, their roles (owner, admin, or technician), and job assignments

Payment card details are entered with our payment processor and are never stored on GritCheck's servers.

We do not sell customer or business data to third parties. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run the app:

• AI analysis provider — receives submitted photos and video to generate condition scores
• Payment processor (Stripe) — handles detailer subscription payments
• Cloud hosting and database provider — stores accounts, quotes, and uploaded media

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

Each detailer account (and, for Crew, each business) can only see its own quotes, customers, pricing, and media. Technicians on a Crew account see only their own assigned work; owners and admins see the whole business. Access is enforced at the database level, not just in the interface.

Quote submissions, including photos and video, are kept while the receiving detailer's account is active so they can reference past jobs. To have a quote submission and its media removed, contact us or the detailer you submitted it to. We will process the request and remove the data from our systems.

You must be 18 or older to create a detailer account or to process payments through GritCheck.
